OpenAI declared that its ChatGPT generative AI chatbot will no longer require users to register.
Since May 2023, when its traffic peaked at 1.8 billion page views, ChatGPT’s growth has slowed.

Not Signing Up: Does It Threaten Privacy?
Recent reports indicate that researchers have detected a potential infection in ChatGPT AI Chatbot and similar systems like Google’s Gemini. The study uncovered a malware threat named Morris II, exploiting flaws in the GenAI ecosystem’s architecture design. It’s not a vulnerability in the GenAI service. Morris II derives its name from the 1988 Morris worm, which disrupted over 10% of internet-connected PCs.
The topic of whether the application’s new no-sign-up policy will cause problems for users now emerges. OpenAI claims to have incorporated more content safeguards, such as the ability to limit prompts and generations over a wider range of categories, for users accessing ChatGPT without first having an account. There needs to be a specification for these categories.
