On March 20, the commission-free stock and cryptocurrency trading software Robinhood announced the release of Robinhood Wallet for Android users in a press release. With Android accounting for 70% of the global mobile OS market, this is a major step towards adopting cryptocurrencies.
According to Johann Kerbrat, general manager of HOOD Crypto, “launching Robinhood Wallet on Android is a big step forward in our commitment to make crypto more accessible and seamlessly integrated into daily life for millions of people around the world.”
The launch’s timing is critical since the global cryptocurrency bull market will allow millions of prospective consumers to enter the market.
With HOOD Wallet, Android users can manage their digital assets and retain private keys. Users can store, manage, transmit, and receive cryptocurrencies on networks like Ethereum, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, and Base. Additionally, HOOD Wallet provides features like fund addition, switch, and information on popular tokens.
